rTMS hilft in etwa 50 Prozent der Fälle
Mit der Magnetstimulation (rTMS) lässt sich die Ausbreitung der Depolarisation in manchen Fällen offenbar bremsen und stoppen. Die Behandlung der Migräne mit rTMS ist eine erfolgversprechende Option und mögliche Alternative zu Medikamenten (z.B. Triptane). Da offenbar auch bei Migräne-Patienten ohne Aura ein Depolarisations-Mechanismus von Bedeutung ist, sollte die Magnetstimulation (rTMS) auch bei solchen Patienten geprüft werden.
